Pull me off to darkened corners, where all other eyes avoid us
[Crocodile hates these kind of parties. College is the worst, his so called friends are obnoxious, and he knows he's too damn good to be drinking cheap rum and generic cola out of a red solo cup. But he promised, and Bentham for all of his quirks is the friend that has stood by him through everything. And the only thing he's actually asked of Crocodile so far is that he attends an over the top obnoxious party solely for the sake of meeting people.
Bah. Friendship almost isn't worth it.
On top of it, Bon-chan quickly disappeared into the crowd, yelling out something about seeing one of his friends. And he didn't return. Which means he's probably not coming back to save Crocodile from boredom, and he's expected to actually participate in that unpleasant business of meeting people. Damn it. Crocodile is fine being perpetually single. Humans are as a rule, terrible. He knows from personal experience, being one of those awful people. And his standards for what he considers an acceptable partner in life are impossibly high. So he walks around, trying to find a place to sit until he's stayed long enough that he can tell Bon that he's participated.
But before he can his arm is grabbed, Bentham returning with wide eyes and an impossibly wide smile.] Crocodiiiiiiiillllle~! Come with me, I found him! The one I wanted you to meet! [Crocodile found himself dragged towards another room, Bentham's over the top voice sounding out over even the music.] He's taller than you, that doesn't happen often! You like that, don't you! No no no, don't look at me that way, I've know you long enough to know what you like in boys! [Bentham cackled, visibly pleased with himself.] And he's handsome, so handsome. So be good hmm? Don't cause a fuss or hit him right away! This might be the only time you meet someone worthy by your standards, after all!
[They made their way through another room, and then out the back door towards a small firepit. The yard was mostly abandoned, but a few people lingered with cups in hand and some loud laughter sounded out over a joke they'd arrived just a little too late to hear. And then Bentham pointed him out, the man that he's supposed to meet, and enormously tall blonde with questionable tastes in clothing, and literally pushed Crocodile against him.] Play nice you two! Be good, and don't get into too much trouble~! Condoms are in a bowl on the snack table! [Crocodile turned and snarled at Bon as he pranced his way back into the house. The guy could be surprisingly quick when he needed to be. Especially when he was mid-scheme and wanted to let his matchmaking efforts develop on their own.

God, he can hear Bentham from a mile away. He has to laugh just a bit, trademark grin curving onto over his face as he's approached. Yet the push of Crocodile into him isn't so welcome; he steps back some, shooing Bentham away with his free hand. )

When Crocodile addresses him, he takes a deep swig of his own drink. Vodka mixed with beer in an unholy concoction, because he dare Bellamy to drink the same. Seeing the look on his face as he tried a sip was truly priceless.
Doffy shrugs. He's not sure where Bellamy went, now that he thinks about it, but right now he has a shiny new friend to scare off. Bellamy can wait. )
Half of what he says just runs together for me. I tuned him out after he told me your name was Crocodile.

Especially when he hears that he zoned out when his name was brought up. Crocodile likes his name, thank you very much. And he's not interested in someone who'd judge him for it.]
Is that so? How charming.
[If Crocodile's tone could get any drier, the area just might dehydrate. While Doflamingo does have the prerequisite tall that he enjoys, the rest of him seems about as appealing as a dental visit. He pulls out a cigar from a case in a pocket, and lights it up. Conversations are far easier with tobacco, and he doesn't expect this to last long.
Still... It's been one hell of a dry spell. And as long as he's not entirely obnoxious he might still consider something.]
